The Wastewater Collection Division maintains more than 70 miles of sanitary sewer lines throughout the city. Contractors are hired where depths of sewer is beyond the reach of the city's equipment or where time is the overriding factor. In addition to the maintenance, the division replaces or upgrades sewer lines and works to identify stormwater infiltration in the city sewer system. The city also maintains four lift stations throughout the city.
