After 33 years with the Parsons Police Department and 17 of those as Chief, Gary Baldwin stepped down on Friday, November 30. The City held a retirement reception in his honor. On the following Monday, Assistant Police Chief, John Keele was named the Parsons Police Department Interim Chief.
Keele is no stranger to the department. He has served as Assistant Police Chief since 1992. He joined the department in 1977. Through the years Keele has been promoted through the ranks starting as a Patrol Officer, Corporal, Sergeant, and a Lt. Detective.
