The City of Parsons wants your input. The City is hosting a Town Hall Meeting to discuss topics of growth and what the future holds for the city as it begins compiling information for the new Strategic Plan.
Citizens are encouraged to attend the Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, September 27 beginning at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Municipal Auditorium at 112 S. 17th St. A facilitator will conduct the meeting.
According to Planning and Zoning director, Martha Wilkerson, the last Strategic Plan for the city was released in 2002. Though the plan addressed a variety of Parsons opportunities for improvement, it only addressed little of what is now the U.S. 400 and U.S. 59 interchange (a future area of growth).
The next strategic plan, expected to be released in 2008, will address additional topics throughout the City including but not limited to housing, streets and city infrastructure, flooding issues and economic development.
So don't miss your opportunity to share ideas, comments and concerns while helping shape the future and growth of Parsons. Attend the Town Hall Meeting!
