The City of Parsons welcomes new employee Russell Pratt who was hired to fill the position of Budget and Finance Director. Russell began his new job with the city on January 16. In addition to being the Budget and Finance Director, Russell will also assume the duties of Assistant City Manager.
Russell received a BS in Business Administration (emphasis in Accounting) and a MBA from Central Missouri State University. He has been in Municipal Finance since 1999. Russell began his career with the Dept. of Veteran Affairs as an Auditor, Budget Analyst and as a Supervisory Accountant. He has been the Finance Director at both Oak Grove, Missouri and Willard, Ohio. Most recently Russell was the Utility Business Office Manager and Deputy Finance Director of Bowling Green, Ohio.
Russell and his wife Susan have two sons ages 15 and 12, and once settled into Parsons, plan to become active with Boy Scouts and their church.
