The City Attorney prosecutes offenders in Municipal Court and provides counsel to the City Commission. The City Attorney is the chief legal advisor to both the City Commission and the City Manager. The City Attorney meets with City Commissioners on a regular basis and attends every City Commission meeting.
The City Attorney is also the City's Prosecutor in Municipal Court matters. Parsons Municipal Court prosecutes misdemeanors and traffic citations that occur within city limits of Parsons. Unless otherwise posted, Municipal Court is in session every Wednesday except the first Wednesday of the month.
